Goldman Sachs' top 100 London traders: the definitive list

Being a Goldman Sachs trader doesn’t have quite the same luster that it used to.

Results we’ve seen from the firm in 2025 so far (Q1 results will be next week) suggest that its performance has been middling compared to rivals: Fixed income, currencies, and commodities traders posted revenues up just 8.4% on last year, and their colleagues in equity 23% up. Neither result was distinguishing. The firm’s London subsidiary, Goldman Sachs International, didn’t do much better either.

Still, it’s remarkably competitive to get into Goldman Sachs. The acceptance rate for interns is around 0.7%. The acceptance rate for professional applicants is around 0.3%. The firm definitely has its pick of the litter with applicants – and these are some of the most distinguished in London, courtesy of the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.
