Now we understand that another senior trader may also be leaving JPMorgan's rates business. There are suggestions that Victoria Harris, the bank's head of EMEA rates exotics trading is also departing. However, Harris is still currently employed by the bank.
Harris didn't respond to a request to comment on her intentions. JPMorgan declined to comment.
If Harris is leaving, it's not clear where she will go next. Hedge funds are known to be hiring.
JPMorgan's rates desk has experienced various departures in the recent past. In addition to Mernissi, Alexandre Critien, the Paris-based head of EMEA rates options trading left in February and is now global head of rates and non-linear trading at ING. Fiona Portington became head of non-linear rates trading at NatWest in January 2026.
Harris has spent 21 years at JPMorgan. She was once an analyst at Goldman Sachs.
