We are partnering with a leading Chinese banking platform to appoint an Executive Director of Human Resources based in Hong Kong. This is a senior leadership role within the HR Department with the responsibility to deputise the Head of HR in assisting him to manage the department. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will play a critical role in driving the people strategy and overseeing a well-established HR function comprising approximately 15+ professionals across a few teams, including Talent Acquisition, C&B, HR Operations, L&D, etc.

Your new role

Support the Head of HR in shaping and executing HR strategy across the organisation
Provide leadership oversight across multiple HR teams (including Business Partnering, Talent, Operations, etc.)
Drive organisational development, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives
Partner with senior management to align HR practices with business objectives
Ensure consistency and effectiveness of HR policies across regional offices
Lead and develop high-performing HR teams

What you'll need to succeed

Strong HR leadership experience within Financial Services, ideally Banking
Solid Chinese background and cultural understanding, with strong exposure to Mainland China
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is essential
Proven experience managing sizeable HR teams in a complex, multi-location environment
Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, and confidential environment
