Our client is a leading organisation undergoing an ambitious AI and digital transformation journey. As part of their continued investment in innovation and emerging technologies, they are looking for a Lead AI Solution Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of enterprise AI solutions. This role will play a critical part in translating business challenges into scalable AI applications, with a particular focus on Agentic AI and intelligent automation initiatives.

Your new role

• Define and execute the organisation's AI strategy, roadmap, and governance framework aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Agentic AI solutions to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and decision-making across the organisation.
• Identify high-value AI use cases and translate business requirements into scalable AI products and solutions.
• Drive the adoption of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, AI orchestration frameworks, and emerging Generative AI capabilities.
• Establish best practices covering AI architecture, security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI principles.
• Collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.
• Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, tools, and technology solutions to support long-term business growth.
• Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready AI applications where appropriate.
• Act as the subject-matter expert and internal champion for AI innovation and adoption across the organisation.
• Initially operated as the organisation's first dedicated Agentic AI hire, leading the development and deployment of AI solutions with end-to-end ownership of AI initiatives while helping to shape and grow the AI function as business needs evolve.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with proven experience and a strong focus on designing and delivering AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Generative AI solutions within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and AI orchestration tools.
• Solid experience developing AI applications using Python and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with cloud AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or equivalent solutions.
• Strong software engineering and solution architecture capabilities, including API integration, version control, CI/CD pipeline development, testing, and deployment best practices.
• Good understanding of AI governance, model life-cycle management, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or acting as a technical lead within cross-functional teams will be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated passion for emerging AI technologies and a proven track record of staying up to date with industry developments and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Candidates currently based in Hong Kong with valid work rights will be highly preferred.
