Our client is a well-known organisation embarking on a strategic AI transformation journey. As they continue to invest in innovation and operational excellence, they are seeking a Head of AI to establish and drive their AI capabilities, with an initial focus on delivering Agentic AI solutions for internal business functions.

Your new role

• Define and execute the organisation's AI strategy, roadmap, and governance framework aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Agentic AI solutions to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and decision-making across the organisation.
• Identify high-value AI use cases and translate business requirements into scalable AI products and solutions.
• Drive the adoption of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, AI orchestration frameworks, and emerging Generative AI capabilities.
• Establish best practices covering AI architecture, security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI principles.
• Collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.
• Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, tools, and technology solutions to support long-term business growth.
• Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready AI applications where appropriate.
• Act as the subject-matter expert and internal champion for AI innovation and adoption across the organisation.
• Initially operate as the organisation's first dedicated Agentic AI hire, leading the development and deployment of AI solutions with end-to-end ownership of AI initiatives while helping to shape and grow the AI function as business needs evolve.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in design, development and implementation of AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Generative AI solutions within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms and cloud services such as Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS AI/ML Services, Google Vertex AI, or similar technologies.
• Strong programming capabilities in Python and experience working with modern AI development frameworks and toolchains.
• Experience designing scalable AI solutions integrating with enterprise applications, data platforms, APIs, and business systems.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, model lifecycle management, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions, AI agents, AI copilots, LLM-based applications, or related Generative AI use cases will be highly advantageous; experience gained through enterprise environments, startups, or personal projects will be highly regarded.
• Strategic mindset coupled with a hands-on approach to execution and delivery.
• Experience building greenfield AI capabilities, Centres of Excellence, or new technology functions will be highly advantageous.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and a proven track record of staying at the forefront of industry developments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; and is currently based in Hong Kong or Singapore with a valid work permit.
