Our client, a leading insurer, is looking for a business analyst to support the digital initiatives for the APAC region.

Responsibilities

1. Engage with corporate sponsors, product leads, UI/UX strategists, and engineering squads to discover, analyze, and document functional requirements driving regional growth.
2. Reframe strategic operational goals into actionable user stories, clear acceptance criteria, end-to-end process maps, and technical specifications.
3. Direct the continuous prioritization and structuring of the product backlog
4. Facilitate interactive discovery sessions, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and regular Agile ceremonies to maintain clear cross-functional focus.
5. Design operational flowcharts, consumer experience journeys, preliminary wireframes, and business rules to guide intuitive digital solution architecture.
6. Partner with engineering leads, test automation engineers, and operational teams to foster a shared understanding of project deliverables and technical designs.
7. Assist business partners through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by structuring test scenarios, managing issue remediation, and verifying launch readiness.
8. Safeguard operational integrity by ensuring all technical solutions conform strictly to regulatory mandates, risk policies, and corporate governance standards.

Requirements

1. University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related technology field.
2. At least 5 years of professional experience operating as a dedicated Business Analyst strictly within the insurance domain.
3. Full professional proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese and English with excellent communication skills.
4. Demonstrated history of successfully delivering customer-centric web applications and mobile platforms.
5. Specialized subject-matter expertise in Life Insurance business lines, specifically policy servicing operations, automated underwriting, and claims handling.
6. Comprehensive understanding of the broader insurance value chain, consumer engagement models, industry regulations, and regional market dynamics.
7. Extensive hands-on experience within Agile execution models, including user story refinement, sprint planning, and backlog optimization.
8. Foundational understanding of API frameworks, system integrations, and modern cloud platform architectures to interface effectively with developers.
9. Critical thinking and relationship-building capabilities to translate complex operational needs into clear technical features.
