Your new role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting large-scale operational activities by ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Coordinator, you will manage payroll operations from routine fortnightly cycles through to peak periods where workforce numbers increase significantly. This is a fixed-term opportunity through to the end of February 2027.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end payroll activities, including high-volume processing during peak operational periods
• Oversee the superannuation function, including uploads, reconciliation, compliance, and data cleansing
• Process payroll transactions accurately using payroll systems
• Manage and respond to high volumes of payroll queries
• Reconcile payroll, banking, and superannuation discrepancies
• Maintain and improve payroll processes and documentation
What you'll need to succeed
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with strong knowledge of superannuation
• Strong payroll systems experience, ideally with Aurion experience
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills
