The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a collaborative and high-performing team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation and internal policies. Working closely with Finance and HR, you'll play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy, supporting employees, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing end-to-end Australian payroll, including new starters, terminations, salary changes and payroll adjustments.
- Maintaining payroll and HR records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Preparing payroll reconciliations, reporting and supporting month-end and year-end processes.
- Managing payroll enquiries and providing excellent support to employees and stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and maintain high data integrity.
Your Profile
You are a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll outcomes. You have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused approach to supporting employees and stakeholders.
You will bring:
- A minimum of two year's end-to-end Australian payroll experience (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation and leave entitlements.
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
