Bank of America is keeping its new MDs a bit secret

Who are the new managing directors (MDs) at Bank of America? They know who they are. Their immediate colleagues know who they are, but the outside world and colleagues of colleagues are being kept in the dark.

In recent years, this hasn't been the case. BofA divulged the names of its new MDs in late November last year and in early December in 2017. This year there hasn't been a peep.

Bank of America declined to comment on the delay. However, insiders said new MDs (and directors) have already been informed of their exalted status and that there has been applause for them on trading floors. It's just that the names haven't been circulated - either internally or externally.

A list is going to be shared.  But not until after Christmas. In the meantime, BofA's new MDs are incognito. The reason for the delay isn't clear - except maybe that BofA is running out of time like everyone else in the run up to Christmas.
