Systematic Equity Options Trader (US based)

My client is a top-performing global market maker with a growing presence in systematic and quantitative trading. They are looking to hire a Systematic Equity Options Trader to join their expanding trading team in Miami.

The team is highly technology- and platform-driven, combining deep expertise in equity options with sophisticated quantitative research, automated trading infrastructure, and large-scale data. They are particularly interested in traders who bring strong options market knowledge alongside solid programming skills, with Python strongly preferred.

This is a front-office trading role with direct exposure to strategy development and P&L. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and engineers to identify opportunities, develop systematic trading strategies, and scale them across equity options markets.

The group has significant growth ambitions and has already made a number of successful hires this year, making this an exciting opportunity to join at an important stage of the team's development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement systematic approaches to trading equity options
• Identify and evaluate trading opportunities across equity options markets
• Work closely with quantitative researchers to develop, test, and refine trading strategies
• Partner with engineers to build and improve automated trading systems and infrastructure
• Monitor live strategies, analyse performance, and make adjustments to improve risk-adjusted returns
• Contribute directly to portfolio construction, risk management, execution, and P&L generation
• Use market data and quantitative analysis to improve trading decisions and identify new opportunities
• Help scale successful strategies across markets and products
• Continuously improve trading processes, models, and technology
