Overview
Seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join a Customer Data Platform team responsible for building and operating high-scale customer data services. This role will focus on scalable backend systems, APIs, platform services, and cloud-native architecture supporting mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
- Lead technical initiatives from design through production deployment.
- Break down complex features into deliverable components.
- Improve system scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Guide architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices.
- Identify and reduce technical debt and operational risks.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, delivery plans, and technical solutions.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience using Java, Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available distributed systems.
- Experience working in AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases and large-scale data modeling.
- Experience leading technical design and architecture initiatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- DynamoDB or large-scale NoSQL platforms.
- Multi-tenant platform services or shared infrastructure.
- Observability, operational excellence, and performance optimization.
- Leading initiatives spanning multiple teams and services.
