Introduction

Our client are looking for an experienced project manager to join their team and manage the concept stage of new projects.

You will be analysing ideas, building business cases, and getting projects approved before delivery starts.

You will need to have prior experience working within defence/ government.

Working Patterns and location - This role is primarily remote with 1 day per week on site.

Key responsibilities

• Support the setup of new projects and programmes
• Apply Portfolio Entry controls to ensure governance standards are met
• Help move ideas from concept into formally recognised initiatives
• Work with business areas to understand problems or opportunities
• Break down complex issues into manageable parts
• Explore potential solution options at a high level (not detailed design)
• Apply Portfolio Entry controls to ensure governance standards are met
• Develop business cases
• Help define, scope, schedule and approvals

Skills & experience

• Experience working at initial/concept stage of projects
• Portfolio project experience
• Experience creating business cases
