Design Engineer - Construction Industry (5 years UAE experience )

For one of our esteemed clients, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a Master's degree in Structural Engineering with 5 years UAE experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of design experience, along with knowledge in fabrication and erection activities. This role involves preparing design calculations, verifying engineering drawings, supervising construction activities, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of work.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Design, analyze, and construct structural elements of buildings and other structures.

2) Develop structural plans, specifications, and calculations.

3) Review shop drawings.

1. Studying the Inputs:

• Analyze project inputs and identify discrepancies.
• Highlight any issues to the lead engineer with detailed explanations.

Preparation of Design Calculations:

• Prepare design calculations according to project specifications, codes, and design guidelines.
• Create connection designs and sketches based on given loads.

Verification Process of Design:

• Verify engineering drawings to ensure correct interpretation of design details.
• Make spreadsheets for repetitive calculations and validate them with manual calculations.

Quality of Work:

• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all design work.
• Propose alternative, cost-effective technical solutions and suitable construction materials.

Design Work in Progress:

• Monitor ongoing design work and ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.

Construction in Progress:

• Supervise construction and fabrication activities through random site and yard visits.
• Generate reports based on site visits and observations.

Salary : 10,000 AED ( Lumpsum package)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of design experience.
• Knowledge of fabrication and erection activities.

• Must be well versed in STAAD PRO and strong knowledge of Steel Structures.
• Must have 05 years UAE experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
