Architecture and Data is the enterprise wide architecture and data services group at BNY Mellon. Our mission is to develop and articulate the holistic target state enterprise architecture and partner with various business lines and shared services to execute on a prioritized roadmap. These efforts ensure the optimal use of existing technology capabilities and the development of new ones to increase business revenue and lower costs while reducing risk, increasing resiliency, and enabling more effective service delivery. The team formulates and executes on our data strategy to reduce complexity and eliminate redundancies in our data.
Researches and implements architecture designs and patterns to improve the company's advantage in the market place. Works with the enterprise business architects, application architects, database architects and technology architects for deploying technology solutions. Strategizes and contributes to enterprise level technological initiatives on architecture and design. In addition to the individual contributor primary responsibilities shown below, may also have managerial responsibilities such as: recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. May also manage and forecast operating budget within the approved plan. Ensures high quality delivery of the company's architecture and design services. Defines solution architecture for domain-specific initiatives. Leads research, definition and implementation of architecture governance and design disciplines for business solutions. Defines and promotes common architecture designs, methodology, standards and practices across the enterprise. Strives to drive more value out of the company's data asset. Provides enterprise data architecture planning, design and deployment in business solutions. Directs time to market and productive data solutions, in compliance with corporate policy. Provides architecture consulting services on more complex issues throughout the enterprise. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
