Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS) provides shared services in support of the financial control community within Citigroup and also partners closely to ensure a seamless financial close process on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This global organization partners with Finance to develop a best-in-class finance infrastructure that provides services, processes and tools to enable businesses to achieve their financial requirements and manage their financial performance.
This position is part of the Delaware Accounting Unit (DAU) which is primarily responsible for the accounting, finance and compliance functions of the Delaware Holding Companies and maintenance of the organizational structure of all Citigroup Inc, and its subsidiaries and all related reporting.
The Finance Acctg Intmd. Analyst is an individual contributor role that will support the various Delaware Holding Companies and the responsibilities of the department. The role will interface with various levels of management and be part of a team environment. Candidate must have knowledge of accounting and finance functions with strong analytical skills. Requires attention to detail and ability to perform in a deadline driven environment.
•Prepare or review various monthly, quarterly and annual financial, regulatory, management and liquidity reporting for Delaware based holding companies.
•Execute the month-end close process, ensuring legal vehicles' financial statements are properly stated before submission to the corporate reporting system.
•Maintain records in support of the consolidation and tax activity including preparation or review of journal vouchers, timely and accurate reconciliation of consolidation reporting system and variance analysis.
•Maintain strong controls for various legal vehicles.
•Resolve issues by partnering with Corporate Staff (e.g., Corporate Reporting, Accounting Policy, Corporate Tax, Treasury and M&A) and Regional Controllers.
•Maintain sub ledger files and journal detail including sufficient and appropriate supporting documentation.
•Responsible for data analysis and data remediation.
•Coordinate special projects as assigned by management.
•Assist in the preparation of the Report of Changes in Organizational Structure (FR Y-10's) to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for all reportable events and related analytics.
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (strongly desired).
•2+ yrs. public or relevant private accounting or finance experience
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
•Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict reporting deadlines
•Database management skills a plus
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Job Family Group:
