Our Irvine, CA team is seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in supporting the supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as , , and

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Automating and leveraging DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure-as-code mentality.
  • Developing and maintaining automated processes, tools, and documentation in support of Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration platform.
  • Increasing the effectiveness, reliability and performance of our container orchestration platform by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results
  • Live and breathe continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using latest DevOps tools and innovative methods.
  • Ensure the health and uptime of critical systems and applications with pro-active monitoring, analyzing metrics, implementing best practices, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Designing and implementing required failover mechanisms within the Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems
  • Being comfortable in a development and operations role.
  • Communicate and collaborate well with teams in IT and business organizations within the company
  • A critical thinker with good problem solving and time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • An individual with strong communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Server on the on-call rotation
     

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5+ years’ experience with managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focus.
  • Configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google cloud.
  • Application load balancing technologies such as AWS ALB/ELBs, NGINX, F5 LTMs, including management of VIPs, pools, nodes, iRule authoring, SSL offloading.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, ELK Logs, System Vitals, Synthetics and Real-user Monitoring (RUM).
  • Heavy scripting support - Bash, PowerShell.
  • Experience with any SQL or No SQL databases (RDS, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure foundational components of large networks in AWS and on-prem networks (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-region, multi-datacenters, Linux, TCP/IP network fundamentals).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Programming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#, Python,NodeJS
  • Server-less architecture methodologies
  • Familiarity with PCI & SOX compliance and remediation.
  • Mobile application support (iOS, Android)
  • Experience in REST API or Microservices development
  • Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles
  • Well versed in Kubernetes security best practices
  • AWS Certifications a plus
