Vice President, Private Credit

We are partnering with a leading private credit platform seeking to appoint a Vice President to its London investment team. This is an opportunity to join a growing and highly active investor focused on delivering flexible capital solutions to private equity-backed and corporate borrowers across Europe.
The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments while working closely with senior investment professionals, sponsors, management teams, and advisors.
Candidate Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience within Private Credit or Leveraged Finance
- Strong understanding of credit investing, debt structures, and leveraged transactions
- Proven experience analysing and executing debt transactions across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and credit underwriting skills
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk-adjusted returns
- Experience interacting with private equity sponsors, management teams, banks, and advisors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of private credit transactions from initial screening through to closing
- Build and review detailed financial models and credit analyses
- Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
- Prepare investment committee papers and recommendations
- Evaluate capital structures, risk profiles, and downside protection
- Monitor portfolio investments and support portfolio management activities
- Develop relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, and other market participants
- Support the origination of new investment opportunities
