Trading Applications Support - 6 months - London

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Trading Application Support Consultant for a 6 month contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role:

• The APS eSolutions group (Application Production Support Electronic Markets) is a global team providing services directly to the global FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, OTC Clearing, Cash management, Primary Syndicate & Client and sales facing eCommerce businesses within Global Markets IT.

• The eCommerce APS supports all applications in the eCommerce (Client Facing) suit. Almost all the applications are in-house developed with custom built feature sets. Team members are expected to support all the applications in the suit which may come under different business lines.

As a Applications Support Consultant you will be responsible for:

• The team is concerned with the production support - both functional and technical - and it manages all changes in the Production environment to facilitate an agile business support. The systems are used globally with major data centre hubs in London, NY, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore.

• You will be working with teams, taking ownership of issues, keeping track of everything, following up solutions to problems etc.

What we require from the candidate:

• Application support -1st/2nd line application support
• Any of FX, Rates, Commodities, Syndicate trading essential
• Investment Banking
• Complex database queries, scripting, python, shell scripting would be an advantage.

Please note shift to be covered are between 7 am - 6 pm and one Saturday a month.
