Meraki Talent’s global investment management client are currently looking to recruit a Threat Intelligence Analyst to join them on a permanent basis in London.
The Threat Intelligence Analyst will work as part of the Global Information Security function. As a global role it will provide threat analysis and reporting to the global organisation. Be an integral part of other core security functions such as information security risk, vulnerability management and operational security. The role will require the individual to identify potential cyber threats, determine levels of risk, and produce analytical reports for a variety of audiences. Occasionally presenting findings in front of senior executives.
Responsibilities of the Threat Intelligence Analyst; - Responsible for independent collection, analysis, and production of threat intelligence in both raw and finished forms through written reporting with minimal supervision.
- Will collect information and conduct technical analysis to develop intelligence.
- Maintain awareness of the global threat landscape and review complex, technical threat data, enrich it with contextual information and produce in finished intelligence.
- Conduct technical analysis and reporting that will support Information Security Risk, Vulnerability Management and Operational Security.
- Support incidents and investigation through the collection of intelligence related to threats originating from external sources outside the company.
- Track and maintain reporting of statistical and written analysis of user threats, incidents and investigations for management review.
- Deliver regular reports such as situational reporting, tactical reporting and strategic reporting at regular intervals.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to include law enforcement, public safety, intelligence, and investigative organisations.
Background of the Threat Intelligence Analyst; - Strong technical writing skills.
- Extensive experience with cyber threat analytical tradecraft.
- Experience of open and closed sources
- Thorough understanding of information security principles.
- Ability to work independently and build relationships.
- Efficient research methodologies.
- Experience reviewing and assessing logs for anomalous activity indicating the presence of a threat.
- Knowledge and ability to identify threat actor attack methods and track their developments.
- Experience conveying complex information in simple, succinct explanations.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Desirable certifications: CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security, CompTIA A+.
- Experience of working in the financial sector is desirable.
