Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Computing
My client is one of the top algorithmic trading companies in the world whose success is underpinned by their industry-leading high-performance compute cluster. This cluster is where all of their trading strategies are generated, and they are looking for an expert in the distributed computing field to help steer the technical direction to improve this from the ground up. This involves re-thinking everything, all the way from the hardware used to the cutting-edge analysis tools their quants use.
You'll work alongside the brightest minds in Storage, Machine Learning and Quantitative Research to do this.
Candidate Requirements: - Skilled in large-scale software design in C++/Python
- Experience monitoring a large, distributed compute cluster
- Excellent communication skills
- Track record leading complex technical projects
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of UNIX operating systems
- Experience with low-level systems, processor performance, and network communication

Salary: Base salaries up to £160k + bonus
