Senior Analyst / Junior Associate - FIG M&A
Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Analyst or Junior Associate to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of domestic and cross-border M&A, strategic advisory, capital raising, and corporate finance transactions across the Financial Services sector.
The role offers significant exposure to clients, senior bankers, and live transactions, with responsibility for financial analysis, valuation, execution workstreams, and the preparation of client materials.

Additional exposure to the following sectors would be advantageous:
- Professional Services
- Accounting & Advisory Services
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions from origination through to completion.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
- Prepare pitch books, management presentations, information memoranda, and board materials.
- Conduct financial, strategic, and sector-specific research.
- Assist in due diligence processes and transaction management.
- Liaise with clients, investors, legal advisers, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and provide market intelligence across the FIG landscape.
- Support senior bankers in business development and client relationship management activities.
Candidate Requirements
Senior Analyst
- ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally from a Big 4 Financial Services audit or advisory team.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience within investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, or M&A advisory.
- Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
- Demonstrated academic excellence throughout school and university.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced transaction environment.
Junior Associate
- 3-6 years of relevant M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking experience.
- Prior exposure to Financial Services, FinTech, Business Services, Technology, Professional Services, or Accounting sectors preferred.
- Strong technical execution skills across financial modelling, valuation, and transaction analysis.
- Experience supporting live M&A and advisory mandates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and clients.
