Global Procurement supports Deutsche Bank's business and infrastructure divisions worldwide, helping teams meet their needs through effective sourcing and supplier partnerships. You will join the Banking Services category management team and work with stakeholders across the Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, Private Bank and Infrastructure divisions to shape sourcing strategies and deliver sourcing events, including requests for proposal. Your portfolio may cover:



  • Market data services

  • Front Office Sales and Trading

  • Clearing, Settlement and Execution Services

  • Digital Custody Services

  • Investment Banking Origination, Advisory and Research

  • Payments - Cards, Payment Gateways, Online Banking, Merchant Solutions

  • Trade Finance, Securitization

  • Loan servicing, shareholder servicing

  • HW, SW and Maintenance supporting banking and brokerage functions

  • Wealth Management banking, custody and brokerage

Your key responsibilities



  • Lead annual and medium-term category planning, identifying sourcing initiatives, anticipated savings, resource needs and delivery timescales

  • Lead and contribute to category-based sourcing processes that address current and future business requirements

  • Manage complex sourcing engagements, including supplier assessment, selection, requests for proposal and commercial negotiation

  • Build trusted working relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear commercial guidance throughout sourcing activity

  • Lead cross-functional teams across the business, Legal, Finance and other functions, working with global procurement colleagues to deliver agreed outcomes

  • Share category knowledge and monitor market and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, process efficiency and risk mitigation




Your skills and experience



  • Solid experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or a comparable commercial function; banking or financial services experience is valued

  • Experience leading supplier negotiations and complex sourcing engagements, with the ability to explain options and recommendations clearly

  • Experience in demand or consumption management, including using modelling techniques to monitor outcomes and adapt strategies

  • Experience delivering measurable non-compensation cost reductions through sourcing and process improvement, including supplier consolidation, service improvements, efficiencies and risk mitigation

  • An organised and collaborative approach, with the ability to plan work independently, contribute across global matrix teams and communicate effectively in written, verbal and presentation formats

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
