BDM Data Analyst

About us:

Linklaters is a global law firm, providing legal services in 20 countries and through 30 offices.

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

The Role:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to deliver data analytics and process mapping that supports the Business Development and Marketing (BDM) function on a 12 month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will collect, organise and analyse data from multiple sources to identify quick wins and enable data-driven action planning. You will also gather requirements for report development, identify data sources and design scalable solutions for reporting automation. Working within the BDM Planning and Operations team, you will play a key role in shaping strategic initiatives and improving internal processes in a collaborative, international environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organise and manage data from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.

  • Collaborate with the BDM Operations and Planning team to understand data analytics and process mapping requirements.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, insights and quick wins that support the BDM function.

  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to define data sources, reporting steps and transformation rules, ensuring scalable and repeatable report designs.

  • Partner with the BDM Data Visualisation Designer and Data Analysts to clarify data sources and reporting needs for development.

  • Share outputs of analysis with relevant stakeholders and conduct further analytics based on feedback.

  • Stay informed on emerging data analytics tools and methodologies to continuously improve the quality and impact of analysis.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in collecting, cleaning and managing data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured datasets.

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices to ensure accuracy, reliability and integrity.

  • Ability to map data and reporting workflows, perform data forensics and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques, with hands-on experience using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python or R, and visualisation platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders, adapting analysis based on feedback.

  • Familiarity with data visualisation principles and experience working alongside designers or dashboard developers.

What's on offer:

This role can be based in our London offices, with a hybrid working model available.

Joining Team Linklaters will see you qualify for a range of benefits designed to reward the vital contribution you'll be making to our success. These include:
