Our client is a CMS licensed wealth and asset manager that is looking to make a strategic hire in the legal & compliance team. This will be a critical role responsible for advising the business mainly on legal matters for fund management and assisting in expansion into the brokerage businesses.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

1. Provide legal advisory to the business including fund formation and ongoing legal risks.
2. Lead and coordinate the establishment of Singapore fund structures, including VCC funds, sub-funds, feeder funds, master-feeder structures, SPVs, and related investment holding structures.
3. Review, draft, and negotiate fund-related legal documents

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. At least 3 years PQE in fund management, private funds, asset management, or related financial services.
2. Candidates with hybrid legal and compliance experience in the related industry will be advantageous.
3. Fluent in Chinese Mandarin as the role will require interaction with Chinese stakeholders and using it as the working language on a day-to-day basis.
