Our client is a diversified investment and financial services group with a strong focus on identifying and building businesses across Asia, the firm operates across several core areas, including private equity and principal investments, asset management, and financial advisory and capital markets. They are actively hiring for a dynamic individual to join them as an Investment Analyst to join their growing Asset Management team, covering the European market.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis across selected industries, sectors, companies and financial markets to identify emerging trends and potential investment opportunities.
- Monitor macroeconomic developments, market movements, industry dynamics and regulatory changes that may impact investment strategies.
- Support the investment team in deal origination and opportunity sourcing, including identifying prospective companies, investment themes and potential transaction opportunities.
- Perform preliminary assessment and screening of investment opportunities based on market attractiveness, business fundamentals, financial performance and growth potential.
- Prepare detailed industry reports, sector updates, market intelligence reports and investment research materials for internal discussion.
- Develop investment analysis and presentations covering industry outlook, competitive landscape, market sizing, company profiles and key investment considerations.
- Support financial modelling, valuation analysis and investment case development where required.
- Collaborate with senior investment professionals on investment projects, due diligence and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Maintain a strong network of industry contacts, research sources and market intelligence channels to support ongoing investment origination efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognised institution
- Possess 3 to 7 years of relevant investment or research experience, gained at a fund manager, private bank, corporate-finance advisory firm or sell-side research house
- Demonstrated capability in written analytical work - information memoranda, industry reports, investment recommendations
