Electronic Trading support group is responsible for providing Global support to TD Securities FI & FX eTrading and Front Office businesses located in major financial centers including Toronto, New York, London and Singapore.
Purpose of the role
Experienced Support Role of a client facing FX , Rates & Credit electronic trading business with dealer-to-client electronic connectivity, predominantly using ION Trading technology (MarketView) but also extends to upstream & downstream processes using both proprietary & other vendor solutions.
Financial products include FX Spot/Outrights/Swaps trading, Government Bonds, Supras, Sovereign, Agency, Corporate Bonds, and Interest Rate Swaps.
It is intended the candidate spend the majority of their time providing primary support for Global Foreign Exchange & Fixed Income, and where feasible, also assist in project deliverables.
The role is within TD’s Front Office support team.
Production Support role involves:
•Supporting Front Office Trading desks globally from Singapore.
•Supporting end-to-end trade flow from execution on market to downstream systems and back office systems.
•Liaising with other teams in supporting “add-on” functionality & up/downstream process flows.
•Interact with various internal teams, Operations and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
•Systems configuration: Follow set procedures to configure supported applications according to approved functional requirements. These requirements may form part of the project implementation, or may be part of production support.
•Actively identify incidents and as necessary manage the incident resolution process to provide service recovery and manage client communications and expectations in respect to incident resolution.
•Ensure compliance with departmental policies (i.e. change management, IT security standards, release management, incident management).
•Work through Annual Disaster Recovery testing and BCP planning.
The role requires working shifts and/and potentially being on-call outside of normal working hours.
•Experience supporting live Trading environment with live market connectivity for FX , Rates, Credit or Swaps desk with access to trading venues
•Experience providing technical support for FX & FI Desks within an Investment Bank.
•Experience working with both project / development teams globally.
•Understanding of financial markets and products, in particular Fixed Income & Rates
•Good working knowledge of application integration and testing.
•Good working knowledge of: Fixed Income financial products, FX Products, Hedging
•Strong knowledge of working on Windows and Linux Platforms.
•Desirable to have knowledge of PL/SQL, Excel, VBA, Scripting skills. (Shell, PERL, Python etc).
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Strong communications skills with a demonstrable ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization as well as with clients.
•Ability to stay calm & focussed when under pressure to deliver a service
•Ability to multi-task assignments
