Team Manager is responsible for the end-to-end leadership of a large, high-performing Technical Accounting team, with a focus on fostering a collaborative environment, supporting a team of specialists, and maintaining an effective partnership with an important external stakeholder. The role includes setting clear priorities, planning and distributing workload, supervising performance, and providing coaching and support to enable consistent, high-quality delivery.



An important requirement is solid experience in leading and motivating larger, teams with varied strengths in a dynamic environment, including the ability to address challenges constructively, encourage accountability, and sustain engagement. The Team Manager will also act as the primary contact for a key partner in Germany, requiring sophisticated partner leadership skills, the ability to understand and appropriately challenge requirements, communicate sophisticated topics in a clear and conscientious way, and proactively handle expectations, potential issues, and continuous improvement initiatives to support and strengthen a critical business relationship.

What the day will look like



  • Organize and supervise current operations so that the team meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs), quality requirements and follows the agreed process

  • Work closely with Partners to ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner and to a high standard

  • Secure proper back up structure plus plan for SPOF (Single Points of Failure)

  • Ensure that processes are documented and that knowledge is gathered and shared within the team

  • Analyze data on the output of the team's work and identify issues or trends connected to errors, time-consuming tasks, under or over capacity

  • Contribute to business planning and strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.

  • Develop and implement efficient document management systems for financial records.

  • Lead financial services projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and partner satisfaction.

  • Prepare and present clear and concise report writing for internal and external partners.

  • Apply conflict resolution skills to address financial discrepancies and team challenges optimally.

  • Engage in talent management and team management activities, including performance reviews, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Design and deliver training and development programs for the accounting team, fostering continuous improvement.

  • Engage the team in identifying processes, tools and documentation that can be improved, and encourage team members to suggest and implement ways to enhance service delivery




Skills and experience that will lead to success



  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken

  • Confirmed experience leading and motivating large, complex teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to set clear priorities, plan and distribute workload, and supervise team performance

  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and providing day-to-day support to high-performing specialists.

  • Ability to understand, challenge, and refine stakeholder requirements in a constructive and solution-oriented manner.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical accounting topics in a clear and concise way to non-experts.

  • Proven record of driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, controls, and service quality.
