Job Description

Are you a charismatic people manager with a background in Credit Control? We have a brand new role based in either London, Luxembourg or Amsterdam, reporting into our regional CFO.

In this role you will lead our Credit Control function across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This role has been established to provide senior leadership, structure and consistency across the end-to-end credit control process. As a hands-on leadership position, it will be responsible for developing and strengthening the function, building and leading a high-performing team, owning the end-to-end credit control strategy and operating model, and acting as the key representative of Credit Control both internally with senior stakeholders and externally with clients.

What you'll do
  • You'll lead and take end-to-end ownership of the Credit Control function across EMEA, defining strategy, governance, policies, and operating standards while driving consistency and continuous improvement across the region
  • You'll build, develop, and lead a high-performing Credit Control team, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and support to ensure the delivery of business objectives
  • You'll drive the implementation and adoption of an IT-enabled credit control solution across EMEA, ensuring alignment with Group policies, process standardisation, and effective support for ongoing system and process changes
  • You'll act as the senior Credit Control representative, partnering with Finance Leadership, the Regional CFO, client services teams, and clients to manage escalations, resolve complex issues, and embed strong credit control practices across the business
  • You'll improve cash collection performance, working capital, and Lock Up Days by delivering insight-led reporting, managing debtor risk, resolving aged debt, and providing recommendations to enhance financial performance and control.

Qualifications
  • You bring previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams across multiple countries, shared service environments, or onshore/offshore delivery models
  • You have successfully led process, policy, systems, or transformation initiatives within a credit control function, ideally including the implementation of automated credit control or collections solutions
  • You are a confident and credible communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, build strong client relationships, and effectively manage complex or sensitive debt resolution matters
  • You demonstrate strong commercial and analytical acumen, with experience improving working capital, managing aged and problematic debt, and operating within multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction global environments
  • You combine a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach, supported by excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, advanced MS Office/Excel proficiency, and a professional accountancy or credit management qualification (e.g., ICM, AAT, or equivalent) being advantageous.
