[Description about the division]

Effective risk management is a key business priority for NN Life and is essential to the success of our corporate strategy. To support this, we have adopted the Three Lines of Defense Model.
As the second line of defense, the Operational Risk Management Division provides independent risk management functions that support the first line-management and business areas-in identifying, mitigating, and monitoring risks related to processes, people, and technology.
Within the department, the Operational Risk Management Team works closely with management and business units to ensure that risks arising from deficiencies in processes, policies, systems, and other areas are appropriately managed.

[Job Description]

This position plays a key role within the Operational Risk Management Division in promoting the maturity of NN Life's enterprise-wide risk management framework. This is achieved through strengthening first-line risk management capabilities, embedding a strong risk culture, and supporting strategic decision-making.
To enhance risk ownership in the first line, the role supports the understanding of controls and the improvement of risk data quality. It also promotes the effectiveness of risk management through cross-divisional collaboration. In addition, by leveraging NN Life's internal Risk Champion program, the role leads the embedding of risk culture and drives cultural change through education and training.
Furthermore, the role facilitates strategic escalation of risk issues by building trust and collaboration with internal stakeholders-including the first line, related divisions, and senior management-to support timely and effective decision-making. The role also includes people management responsibilities, focusing on talent development and upskilling within the ORM team to enhance its expertise and execution capabilities.
The current scope of the ORM team includes operational risk management (primarily through the implementation and enhancement of NN Group's Effective Control Framework [ECF]), fraud risk management, backlog oversight, financial risk reporting review, advisory and challenge to the first line, and facilitation of the Risk Management Committee.
