This leadership role combines Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Corporate Strategy, Market Intelligence, and Data Analytics to support critical business decisions and organisational transformation. You will translate complex business and market data into actionable insights, helping senior leaders set priorities, optimise performance, and execute strategic initiatives.

Working across sales, delivery, service, energy, and other business functions, you will lead performance analysis, management reporting, annual planning, financial forecasting, and cross-functional transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to executive leadership and regional business heads.
  • Support senior leaders with critical decision-making, strategic priority setting, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Lead business analysis, market insights, competitive intelligence, and organisational performance reviews.
  • Analyse complex business, financial, operational, and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • Develop and present strategic proposals and business recommendations directly to executive leadership.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across sales, delivery, service, energy, and other internal functions.
  • Develop and deploy management dashboards, reporting systems, and executive business presentations.
  • Support annual business planning, financial forecasting, organisational goal setting, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor business performance against strategic objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead cross-departmental projects addressing complex operational and strategic challenges.
  • Build, train, and manage dedicated teams of data analysts as required.
  • Apply a First Principles approach to solve complex, non-standard business problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement across commercial and operational business functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in data analysis, insight generation, and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior executives and acting as a trusted business advisor.
  • Experience supporting strategic decision-making, business transformation, or organisational performance improvement.
  • Experience developing management dashboards, reporting systems, or executive-level business presentations.
  • Strong understanding of business planning, performance management, and strategic analysis.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills for working directly with executive stakeholders.

Language Requirements:
  • Japanese: Native-level proficiency required for executive communication and cross-functional stakeholder management in Japan.
  • English: Fluent/business-level proficiency required for collaboration within a global organisation and communication with international stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • MBA or other relevant postgraduate business qualification.
  • Experience directly supporting senior management, Country Managers, General Managers, or executive leadership teams.
  • Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic business planning.
  • Experience within a high-growth technology, automotive, mobility, or energy company.
  • Advanced experience with SQL and Python for business and data analysis.
  • Experience creating executive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with annual planning, financial forecasting, organisational goal setting, and resource allocation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional business transformation or operational improvement projects.
  • Experience building or managing data analytics teams.
