As a leader in Trade Finance, you will have a tertiary degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline. A minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Trade Finance, Structured Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, or Working Capital Solutions within transaction banking is required. You will have a demonstrated track record of originating, structuring, and executing trade finance transactions and growing trade finance revenue. Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and transaction structuring across trade and working capital financing solutions will be greatly advantageous. Proficiency in English, Mandarina and Cantonese will be mandatory.

Your new role
As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Develop a team of Trade Finance specialists to support Relationship Managers in originating, structuring, and executing trade finance solutions for corporate and commercial banking clients.
- Drive the growth of the Bank's Trade Finance franchise by identifying new business opportunities, deepening existing client relationships, and expanding wallet share across key client segments.
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers to deliver tailored trade finance solutions, including Letters of Credit, Import and Export Financing, Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, Structured Trade Finance, and other working capital solutions.
- Provide expert advisory support on complex trade transactions, assessing deal feasibility, structuring optimal financing solutions, and balancing commercial objectives with prudent risk management.
- Establish and enhance trade finance product frameworks, procedures, and governance standards in collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Finance functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and market best practices.
- Act as the key subject-matter expert for trade finance, providing technical guidance to frontline teams and supporting major client negotiations and strategic transactions.
- Oversee the trade finance portfolio to ensure sound credit practices, disciplined risk management, profitability, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Monitor market developments, international trade trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for product enhancement and business growth.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, including financial institutions, export credit agencies, insurers, and trade ecosystem partners.
- Lead strategic business initiatives, digitalisation projects, product enhancement programmes, and process improvements aimed at strengthening the Bank's trade finance capabilities and client proposition.
