We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as RBWM Programme Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible for programme management for ASP Retail Banking and Wealth Management programme
  • Managing complex projects or programmes of USD 20m to 50m annualized budget, cross multiple business areas, disciplines and geographies, with key impacts on revenue, profitability or reputation.
  • Interact with senior business and Information Technology Project Management and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the business's growth strategy.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Building a trusting environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Produce effective user story backlog and sprint progress reports to keep management apprised of delivery status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses
  • Ensure that problems are managed, and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business.
  • Adopt and Share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement.
  • Provide support to Information Technology Project Management where necessary
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal and external auditors and external regulators.
  • Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with Group Operations Functional Instruction Manual.
  • Develop a good level of understanding of the appropriate business systems of the Group and their associated Information Technology project management requirements.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Good experience on programme management experience and Subject Matter Expertise knowledge, project delivery management methodologies and tools
  • Extensive experience in Information Technology or banking or risk areas with proven track record on managing Retail Banking and Wealth Management programme, preferably in a global environment
  • Clear understanding of the drivers of cost and the relationship with business benefits
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly.
  • Ability to lead and manage extremely complex project implementation
  • Ability to lead an offshore based project delivery team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Proactive and self motivated approach, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • In depth and extensive experience of Information Technology development life cycle, process management, reporting and communications
  • Good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodology
  • Experience in team and department transformation planning and execution journey
  • Previous working experience in fund administration or bond administration, fund accounting and valuation, securities custody and clearing systems applications is preferred
  • A certification of Project Management Professional and Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I is an advantage.
