My client is a long standing Financial Institution and they are looking for a Project Manager to join their Wealth Management PMO team to support trading and settlement system projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the construction, management, implementation and support of new trading and settlement systems for wealth management, internal and external suppliers, other internal departments, exchanges, hands-on and custody;
  • Responsible for handling electronic data construction, management, implementation and support of new transactions and settlement systems by internal and external suppliers and other internal departments of wealth management;
  • Responsible for the electronic data construction and implementation of new transaction and settlement system projects, including analysis of requirements and application system function analysis, assisting in completing the new system online and migrating users and customers to the new system;
  • Responsible for the implementation of new transaction and settlement system projects, including analyzing current data, data migration and processing data, and assisting in completing data migration to the new system;
  • Handle daily business support and data-related work. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder in Business, Computer Science or related discipline;
  • Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in Brokerage / Financial institution;
  • Design and apply appropriate project management standards in particular related to IT;
  • Manage the production of the required deliverables;
  • Plan and monitor the project;
  • Adopt any delegation and use of project assurance roles within agreed reporting structures;
  • Prepare and maintain project, stage and exception plans as required;
  • Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans;
  • Liaison with programme management (if the project is part of a programme) and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated;
  • Monitor overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary;
  • Apply change control and configuration management processes;
  • Report through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments;
  • Liaison with appointed project assurance representatives to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project;
  • Maintain an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact;
  • Adopting and applying appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards;
  • Identifying and obtaining support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project;
  • Manage project administration and conduct project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed;
  • Preparing any follow-on action recommendations.
