You will be responsible for managing daily processing of FXMM settlement operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform daily settlement processing for the following products:
  • Foreign exchange spot, forward, swap products (including bilateral settlement, CLS and PVP settlement)
  • FX margin trading, FX gold trading, non-deliverable forward, FX optional forward
  • HK exchange fund bills and notes, repo, Money market loan and deposit for interbank and corporate customers
• Reconcile trade input against broker confirmations and counterparty's trade record to ensure correctness of trade booking
• Follow up with traders and counterparties in case of any trade booking issues
• Prepare trade confirmations and settlement instructions for executed trades
• Manage trade confirmation matching status electronically and manually as well as handle exceptions if any
• Prepare or generate payment instructions for trade settlement and monitor settlement status
• Monitor RTGS payment status and support RTGS & FPS fund flow monitoring
• Manage and prepare nostro transfer for nostro accounts and CLS position squaring
• Manage deposit trade booking and incoming payments for deposit trades executed with corporate customers
• Prepare maturity payment instructions for deposit trades executed with corporate customers and monitor settlement status
• Manage FX gold trade booking and prepare SWIFT confirmations as well as settlement instructions for gold & related cash settlement
• Monitor settlement status for gold trade and perform related position reconciliation
• Perform FX margin trading position and deal checking, perform collateral placing and adjustment in accordance with FX margin requirements and margin calls
• Perform account reconciliation, position reconciliation to ensure accuracy and rectify breaks if any
• Handle post trade event processing (including but not limited to rate fixing, option expiry/exercise) for optional forward & non-deliverable forward
• Prepare and reconcile transaction reporting files for HK trade repository regulatory reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Prepare day-end control reports for completeness check
• Participate in user acceptance tests or system enhancement projects in relation to FXMM Settlement or new product development

Incumbent Requirements:

• Degree holder in Banking / Business Administration / Finance/ Management
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Banking industry or financial institution is preferred
• Experiences in settlement systems usage including SWIFT, RTGS, Kondor, OPICS, HKTR is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, people management and analytical skills
• Mature and able to work independently and under pressure
• Innovative and self-initiative
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Candidate with the qualification of Certified Banker is an advantage
