Job Description
In this business partner role, you will work closely with leadership teams to ensure people initiatives effectively support business priorities, organisational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
As a trusted partner to management, you will provide guidance across a broad range of people-related matters, including workforce planning, talent development, and performance management. The role plays an important part in connecting expertise across specialist HR teams to deliver practical, well-aligned solutions for stakeholders. You will also lead and deliver a range of people programmes that drive positive change, enhance operational effectiveness, and support the organisation's evolving needs.
You will work closely with leaders to foster strong working relationships, build team engagement, and sustain a productive and compliant workplace through regular and meaningful dialogue with the business. As part of the HR leadership team, you will bring a strong understanding of the local employment landscape and demonstrate the discretion and sound judgement required to manage sensitive employee matters effectively.
The Successful Applicant
- Ability to assess business needs, apply critical thinking, and deliver people solutions that support organisational objectives
- Demonstrated success in building strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas within a financial services environment
- Confident influencer and negotiator, comfortable operating within complex organisational structures
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly through presentations and day-to-day interactions
- Collaborative team player who brings a proactive, forward-thinking mindset to their work
- Proven background within banking or financial services, with sufficient seniority to operate independently and advise management effectively
- Strong English and Chinese communication to engage with a diverse workforce; additional language skills are viewed positively
- Technically proficient, with strong working knowledge of standard business applications and exposure to HR systems
