Job Descriptions:
- Lead AP, AR, treasury, and cash flow management activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective working capital management.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff through the review of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Manage cryptocurrency accounting, including transaction recording, reconciliation, and preparation of crypto-related financial schedules.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and global consolidation processes, ensuring timely eliminations and resolution of foreign exchange and reconciliation issues.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management accounts, and financial analyses to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with HKFRS, IFRS, taxation requirements, and statutory regulations, while serving as a key contact for external auditors and advisors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning processes.
- Drive the enhancement of internal controls, accounting policies, and process efficiencies across the finance function.
- Lead or participate in ad hoc projects, system implementations, and business initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university, with a CPA qualification required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial and management accounting, including 1 to 2 years in public accounting.
- Strong command of English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis functions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve accounting issues, transactions, and account balance discrepancies with minimal supervision.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand the broader business context, applying sound judgment and materiality considerations in decision-making.
- Excellent quality control and self-review capabilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness before escalating work to management.
- Experience with Xero accounting software and AI-powered tools such as Claude is highly desirable.
