For our Unit Global IT Services we are seeking to appoint a Data Management Developer (d/f/m) based in our Cologne office starting as soon as possible.

Your Role

• Global user support for business-critical applications such as LUCA, LIDIA and MDS, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, user training, and close coordination with IT teams.
• Subject matter expertise for data management initiatives and projects involving both existing and new applications, supporting implementation activities and the continuous enhancement of business solutions.
• Monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of ETL processes and master data management activities to ensure reliable, accurate, and timely data availability.
• Identification, assessment, and documentation of risks related to applications and cedent data handling processes, supporting transparency, regulatory compliance, and effective risk mitigation.
• Analysis of end-to-end data flows and business processes with a focus on improving data quality, consistency, and governance across insurance and reinsurance portfolios.
• Further development and optimization of existing applications, introducing innovative technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and business value.
• Establishing and continuously refining standards, controls, and procedures for efficient, scalable, and error-free data ingestion.
• Close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT functions to align data management solutions with strategic and operational objectives.
• Advising and supporting Product Owners and project leaders through data expertise, data provisioning, and critical review of functional solution designs.
• Contributing to large-scale transformation initiatives, including solution design, testing activities, implementation support, and change management efforts.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a comparable discipline; a Master's degree in Economics, Business Statistics, or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data analytics, including a minimum of 2 years in master data management and 2 years in data ingestion.
• Strong expertise in handling and analyzing insurance data, ideally within direct insurance and/or reinsurance environments.
• Advanced programming skills in SQL, R, and Python, combined with extensive knowledge of data warehousing and modern data management concepts.
• Experience working with large-scale projects and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Business-fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
