Morgan Stanley Huaxin Fund Management Co., Ltd. (MSHF) is a Sino-foreign joint venture fund management company in which Morgan Stanley is the largest shareholder. Headquartered in Shenzhen, with branches in Beijing and Shanghai, MSHF provides an array of professionally managed funds for China investors, including fixed income, actively managed equities, fund of funds and separately-managed accounts, with a goal to meet investors’ needs for asset allocation, risk management and investment returns.


MSHF is looking for a Development Lead to lead and manage a highly technical team who have a strong technical background in order to coach, support and lead the team in order to deliver solutions, by taking a balanced view on delivery of solutions between architecture, time, cost and quality, and be able to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.


• Guide team (including 3rd parties) development efforts towards successful project delivery

• Responsible for the technical strategy and roadmap for owned products, making decisions on technologies that stand the test of time

• Establish SDLC that align with MS while being practical to MSHF

• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by influence and execute good development practices and processes

• Collaborate with other stakeholders to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks

• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans

• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software

• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards

• Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to next-gen platforms

• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget



• Excellent verbal and written skill in both English and Mandarin

• BSc in Computer Science or relevant field

• 8+ years’ experience as a Software Developer, prior experience in a technical leadership position is preferred

• Proficient with modern software development using Java and relevant technologies

• Proficient in coaching/guiding/influencing others on software engineering processes and practices

• Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software

• Experience with agile development methodologies, processes and toolsets

• Experience with database design and development including RDBMS (e.g. Oracle), NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB) and ORM

• Experience with web-based development technologies including MVC, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS, as well as modern libraries such as React, VUE, etc.

• Experience with user interface design and prototyping

• Excellent interpersonal skills, establish good communication with team members, business stakeholders and vendors

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

• Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes

• Problem-solving attitude
