Trading Technology Lead
Trading Technology LeadWe're looking for talented, motivated team lead for a Technology team of over 20+ people in Sydney. This lead will be responsible for directly managing Analysts both in Sydney & globally as well as the local oversight of the technical developers.
As part of the critical Transaction Reporting platforms across our Commodities and Global Markets division, we are enhancing our global architecture focusing on data & user led delivery whilst continuing to meet critical regulatory obligations.
Commodities and Global Markets has the largest and most diverse technology team at Macquarie. This division is a global trading business with exposure to all major markets. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide array of Business products from Commodities, Equities, Credit Markets, Fixed Income etc.
The critical areas of this role will require your effective stakeholder management, exceptional communication skills and strong leadership, coupled with your effective relationship building skills allowing you to work seamlessly with our global leads.
In this role you will use your strong team leadership skills with a proven track record of driving delivery and balancing competing demands and priorities to lead a team of technologists. You will use your ability to identify and manage potential risks and issues, as well as your innovative mindset to provide creative solutions and business process improvement opportunities. Working in an Agile Scrum team environment and collaborating with both business and technical colleagues across offices and time zones, you will also coach and mentor team members.
We anticipate that to excel in this role you will have strong team leadership skills with a proven track record of driving the delivery of projects and balancing competing demands & priorities. In addition, you will bring 10 + years' experience in Investment Banking in Technology or a Regulatory focused area, and experience in working within financial services regulations, ideally with knowledge across global regulatory reporting requirements such as ASIC, EMIR, MIFIR and CTFC.
