Technology Controls Assurance Manager

As a Technology Controls Assurance Manager in the Governance team you can work with a wide range of stakeholders from across the business and technology divisions, where you will be able to develop a strong network of stakeholders from across the organisation.

You will be joining a team responsible for providing Controls Assurance Governance and impartial oversight across all Foundation Services teams within our Corporate Operations Technology Infrastructure division which includes both internally supported, and vendor supported services.

Your role works to ensure engineers and other support staff are supported in all areas of the Audit and ORSA/Risk/Open Page responses.

In this position you will be responsible for developing and implementing a Controls Assurance testing program for all associated teams with a focus on simplifying and automating solutions where possible. You will define and test requirements within agreed workflows based on the COBIT framework and carry out interim checks (including internal testing) on all responses (Open Page Actions) and current workflows (BAU/Delivery).

You will also support Service Owners who are accountable for the successful management of Risks within their services and work with key Risk Management and Audit functions within Macquarie to ensure that all Risks are appropriately managed. In addition, you will produce detailed Risk Management plans, and highlight actions to ensure successful delivery of the service portfolio.

As an effective communicator, you'll engage with technology stakeholders across senior levels and coach them through your action plans and how to effectively manage Risk within their teams. Leveraging your expertise, you'll look for opportunities for continuous improvement, identifying waste and implementing improved processes and ways of measuring success.

To be successful in this role would need the following:
  • background in controls assurance covering a range of technologies
  • an ability to support the service resilience and risk management actions required to ensure the successful delivery of the service portfolio
  • effective communication and coaching with stakeholders at director levels including technology leadership teams
  • an ability to review and improve workflows (identifying waste and implementing improved processes and metrics).
