How will I help? The Senior IT Project Manager - Privacy is responsible for leading and managing project activities that deliver technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Leading technology delivery for Data Deletion across multiple Enterprise systems, including but not limited to: Digital, Customer originations, Digital, Staff Assisted, Product Originations, Data platform, Group Customer Master and Financial crime systems
- Estimating technology delivery and developing project plans to determine time frames, funding, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available departmental resources to various phases of each project
- Release Management - Lead the implementation activities that span cross multiple applications and business divisions, across multiple implementation windows
- Providing ongoing Technology Project Management mentoring and coaching support to assist implementation of Projects, work closely with project sponsors, product/platform managers, and other relevant team members to increase knowledge and elevate performance through one-on-one coaching
- Provide regular status updates to senior management on progress, issues, risks and financials
- Recommending and overseeing process improvements

What do I need? You will be an experienced IT Project Manager in banking & financial services and have a strong understanding of the overall project lifecycle and be able to lead, design, build, test and implement phases. You will have agile delivery experience and a good understanding of applications landscape in a complex organisation. In addition, you must also have:
- Technical delivery experience with applications & be able to manage complex integrations between systems
- Experience in Privacy / regulatory experience within financial services
- Experience in a Technology team Financial Services
- E2E software delivery experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Ability to lead and think outside the square
