How you'll make an impact The purpose of this role is to lead the product development and management of AMP's North platform product offers. This will be achieved through maintaining competitive and compliant products and solutions, creating strong product value propositions for distribution channels to drive increased cashflow and revenues and retain existing value.
This is a contract role covering parental leave for the incumbent Senior Product Manager.
Main Focus Areas: - Develop and implement product strategies that create value for customers and North, drawing on market, client, adviser and competitor insights and analytics.
- Review existing products, implement changes to the products and deliver enhancements to ensure optimal value to customers and AMP.
- Identify and deliver new revenue streams through product enhancement.
- Maximise existing and new revenue streams on products by managing key business relationships, designing product support programs for distribution channels.
- Develop business cases and governance papers for approval and obtain stakeholder support.
- Achieve financial targets.
- Develop your team members and continually look at ways to improve performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all products and act as product SME across Regulatory and Compliance change program and accountable for implementation into wrap platform products.
- Use of a product development and product management framework including documentation & approval.
- Ensure all risks are identified and addressed and minimise operational product risks.
- Ensure that you comply with AMP policies and procedures, and any relevant external legislative requirements
- Accountable for the leadership and completion of platform projects, processes and programs.
- Work with the Product and Pricing leadership team teams to further develop the product capability and work closely with peers to continue to lift the performance and focus of the team to be outwardly focused
What you will bring to the team Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
- At least 7 years financial services experience including 5 years within product management/ development and ideally within Platforms
- Business related tertiary qualifications preferred
- Acts autonomously on most decisions and judgements. Requires guidance on more complex judgements.
- Analyses difficult problems and issues and improves or modifies existing methods and processes.
- Applies a strong understanding of product management and development frameworks and policies.
- Has a strong understanding of platforms businesses, the competitor environment and what drives change through a platform business.
- Experience leading and managing a product management and development team.
- Strong people management and leadership capabilities.
- Provides input into new products, processes, standards or business plans.
- Applies technical capability relevant to a platform function.
- Has a strong understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance environment
