As part of this program of work, the bank plans to build an innovative and future-ready Data Platform that will help the various capital markets business areas meet their customer’s needs, be regulatory compliant and be able to confidently translate and use their data.
This team will take ownership of all data across all financial product groups, they will focus on data-gathering, analysis and then visualisation to the business areas.
As a Senior Engineer, you will help shape and build the banks next generation Big Data/Data Analytics platforms. You will be responsible for end to end solution delivery, designing and developing clean, efficient, robust and reliable solutions. You will have an impressive history adding value up and down the technology stack and be comfortable touching the front end, back-end, databases and OS.
Being a large, heterogeneous environment, you must be able to take a step back and see the bigger picture. Whilst the pursuit of technical excellence is admirable, this can be tempered by security, scalability and wider-environment constraints. The ideal candidate will be able to balance these objectives and express their design and engineering creativity within a sometimes restricted scope.
You will be expected to the share responsibility with regards to towards improving quality, continuous delivery, production support and be passionate when it comes to growing the DevOps maturity of the group.
