Senior Manager - Transfer Pricing Insights & Reporting

Group Treasury Finance provides management accounting and product control support for Group Treasury Front Office operations, including Portfolio Management (Asset & Liability Management [ALM] Liquidity Investment Portfolio), Group Funding & Liquidity and Capital & Regulatory Strategy. It also provides daily and monthly accounting and performance management and planning for front office desks, the Treasury leadership team, and Group Finance.

As part of GT Finance, the Transfer Pricing Insights and Reporting team is responsible for the:
  • Implementation and management of the Group's funds transfer pricing process for our internal customers and collaborating with our business partners to implement changes;
  • Financial reporting and attribution for the transfer pricing pools results;
  • Management and enhancement of the LTFP stamping process and LTFP rate calculation;
  • Calibration and calculation of Transfer Pricing rates, including LTFP, LP and Bank Levy;
  • Forecast essential Transfer Pricing rates, and provide these for inclusion in the Economic Indicators pack.

Do work that matters
  • Provision of monthly Funds Transfer Pricing pool results reporting, giving insights around underlying drivers
  • Perform planning and forecasting of major transfer pricing rates and liaising with other Finance teams on key inputs and outputs to the process
  • Adequate control process and enhancement to the Transfer Pricing rates calibration and stamping framework
  • Playing an integral role in the development of the transfer pricing reporting, policy & methodology by providing valuable advice and feedback and working closely with the Policy teams and BU
  • Perform regular deep dive reviews to gain insights into various business models and the accuracy of TP policy application;
  • Playing a role in developing transfer pricing educational material for customers
  • Act as Transfer Pricing SME and provide advice and guidance to team members
  • Champion further automation and utilize new technologies that deliver productivity benefits, enhance control framework, financial modelling capabilities and data visualisation tools
  • Ensure active management and prioritisation of the pipeline of system defects and change requests. Develop and maintain the Transfer Pricing Finance testing framework.
  • Proactively supporting the GT Finance management team and the People and Culture action plans

We're interested in hearing from people who have
  • Higher tertiary education with relevant major such as mathematics, economics, finance, or accounting
  • Recognized professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g. CA/CPA/CFA) preferred
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, GTRS, GDW, Essbase is essential
  • High proficiency with Excel and SQL database query is essential
  • Experience in data visualisation tools and Python preferred
  • A deep understanding of banking products, balance sheet management and treasury/finance systems with experience gained from ideally more than 5yrs in a Treasury, Risk or Finance role within a commercial banking environment
  • Strong ability to identify current and potential issues in the management reporting and demonstrate a proven track record in solving complex and ambiguous issues and process improvements.
  • Strong technical background experience with transfer pricing concepts; significant management accounting experience
  • Strong numerical, abstract reasoning and problems solving skills involving transactions spanning multiple Business Units
