Overview Susquehanna Pacific Pty Limited (a member of the Susquehanna International Group of companies) is currently seeking an In House Senior Legal Counsel with a strong knowledge of pan Asian securities and derivative markets. Primarily your role is to advise on the full range of legal matters which affect the business of Susquehanna Pacific across the Asia Pacific.
This role requires a senior financial markets lawyer who has the ability to manage stakeholders across all business functions, exceptional negotiation capability, and has a broad range of knowledge of customary documentation and legal and regulatory issues in Asian financial markets.

Your Daily Responsibilities will include: - Work closely with other members of the SIG legal team.
- Provide frontline legal support to senior executives and trading staff.
- Manage a diverse range of legal matters which affect the business across the Asia Pacific region, including reviewing and negotiating technology licensing, clearing, trading, financing, brokerage and OTC derivative agreements.
- Undertake both transactional work and advice work.
What we're looking for - Holder of a current practising certificate in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore or UK.
- In house financial markets/securities/derivatives related legal experience, both advisory and transaction document negotiation.
- Prior experience with a buy side financial markets firm would be highly regarded
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- 10 years + post admission experience.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to deal confidently with senior executives and all other stakeholders.
- Ability to work across different legal jurisdictions and time zones.
- Experience in the following areas would be highly regarded:
- Negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and related documentation;
- Employment law advice and documentation.
