Job Description Senior Architect, Security - Permanent role

How will I help? This highly visible and business critical position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of robust Security architectures to safeguard Westpac's digital assets while aligning with business objectives.
Your key responsibilities include: - Understanding the business strategy and priorities. Participating in market analysis and due diligence exercises to recommend optimal solution components and partners.
- Analysing industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the Enterprise architecture.
- Developing end-to-end solution architectures to address business opportunities and threats, balancing both functional and non-functional requirements and risks.
- Performing architectural and design oversight of technical implementation.
- Socialising and presenting solutions and option recommendations to the architectural and design governance forums.
- Ensuring material decisions are suitably socialised with relevant stakeholders.
- Working with Control Owners and Service Owners to ensure strategic alignment of change delivery.
- Collaborating with Business Owners and Risk Management to understand the solution's risk profile.
- Supporting, coaching, and mentoring the team where required.

The successful candidate will have: - Extensive corporate level experience in solution architecture within a Security context, preferably gained in Financial Services.
- Proficiency with Security frameworks and standards (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong understanding of Cloud Security architectures and risk assessment methodologies.
- Deep experience in the implementation of architecture in large organisations to ensure balanced solutions.
- Proven results in delivering business solutions into production with multiple and varied stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architect disciplines and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA).
- Applied knowledge of data management and cloud computing platforms.
- Working experience with Enterprise Risk Management.
- Working experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
