Network Architect

  • Immediate start, 6 month contract with extension
  • Working on one of the largest gov accounts in NSW
  • Opportunity to change and influence, provide strategic advice

Our client is a global IT vendor and one of the biggest names in the market. They are looking for a Network Architect to join their transition and transformation team and work on one of their key accounts.

This role is a 6 month contract with a view to extend further with an immediate start before Christmas. The role will be based predominantly at Macquarie Park with some travel to the CBD at times. This is a great opportunity to get a role before the Christmas break and go through the new year period.

This Network Architect will be the main point of contact between various stakeholders identifying gaps and reviewing all the processes and protocols involving the network. Ideally someone who has worked in the vendor space, can deal with 3rd parties and senior stakeholders would work well. You will need to provide a consultancy, solution focused approach and is more around the stakeholder enagement piece and less hands on.

You will be responsible for:
  • Engaging with various stakeholders and leading discussions around discovery and implementation, ,formulating a strategy
  • Lead the technical solutions team to consolidate and action the solutions
  • Be a main point of contact with the clients throughout the process and manage expectations
  • Establish the Business, Functional, Technical and Implementation principals that support the Data Centre program, account and client goals for the relocations


To be suitable you will have:
  • Ideally an Australian Citizen as you will need to be eligible to gain baseline security clearance which will be sponsored. If not PR will be considered.
  • Experience working in the Government industry and ideally previous vendor experience
  • Experience with Data Centres and developing network architecture for Data Centres
  • CCNP or CCIE certified
  • Experience with firewalls and load balancers, switches and routers, voice and data
