How you'll make an impact

The National Strategic Partnerships Manager role is responsible for supporting the Sales team in positioning of AMP Super as a market leading solution for Employers. The role supports the broader Super & Investments team in achieving its growth objectives.
  • Create external partnership opportunities to increase awareness, drive preference for and promote benefits of AMP Super, solutions, tools, technology and migration/installation relative to competitor offerings.
  • Success in this role will require a high level of Superannuation and Retirement technical knowledge, disciplined execution and a well-considered business plan that aims at deepening and broadening support directly with employers, consultants and advisers.
  • Work in collaboration with product marketing, initiatives and campaigns to promote AMP Super value proposition.
  • Building and enabling member product capability to participate in systematic campaign activity.
  • Understanding the end to end sales, account management and transition to AMP Super processes.
  • Identifying opportunities and supporting employers and members through the provision of a broad range of solutions to address their needs across AMP's value chain

Main Focus Areas
  • Build effective partnerships with Consultants, Research Houses, Advisers and Employers to drive advocacy for AMP Super and to identify growth opportunities.
  • Engage, qualify and identify new growth opportunities from employers, consultants and advisers.
  • Execute Sales initiatives to maximise new business opportunities and employer retention.
  • Work with Workplace Partnerships Managers to support growth opportunities within the existing employer portfolio to achieve growth objectives.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of sales frameworks, methodologies and processes to support the Super & Investments key priorities.
  • Adherence to all sales disciplines including agreed activity management, timeliness of reporting responsibilities, initiative delivery, risk & compliance framework.
  • Provide thought leadership and adopt an insight led approach to position AMPs Super's solutions.
  • Understand competitor landscape to enhance the AMP Super offering and successfully overcome objections.
  • Ongoing contribution to a high-performance culture through commitment to ongoing improvement, personal development, flexible and adaptive attitude to change, individual and team accountabilities.

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
  • Previous 10+ years' experience in leading people and working across a fast paced, customer/client service orientated team environment and/or financial service industry and driving a collaborative, high performance culture.
  • Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations.
  • Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management.
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services
  • Ability to judge market opportunities and AMP's competitiveness in those sectors.
  • Evidence of adaptation to a rapidly changing environment.
  • A strong understanding of the Financial Planning market including compliance.
  • RG146 (previously PS146) compliant.
  • Diploma of Financial Planning (or equivalent tertiary qualification) is highly desirable

    • Ability to participate in development and implementation the superannuation and investment business strategic growth priorities.
    • Ability to identify and develop target growth opportunities.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Ability to manage cross functional stakeholders in order to deliver solutions to market.
    • Collaborates with Account Managers to identify opportunities.
  • Industry Expertise and Relationships:
    • Maintains relationships with consultants, research houses, corporate super specialist advisers, and other related industry bodies.
    • Contributes to positive ratings and product recommendations.
    • Works with large dealer groups and coordinates strategic sales efforts.
  • Market Insight and Decision-Making:
    • Analyses market trends and assesses their impact on business growth.
    • Applies investment and financial markets analysis.
    • Understands client needs and translates them into business strategies.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration:
    • Drives customer views and makes decisions aligned with business growth.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional executive teams.
    • Develops solid consulting skills and maintains positive client relationships.
  • Operational Efficiency and Adaptability:
    • Monitors market conditions and communicates insights.
    • Supports team members and fosters teamwork across business units.
