In-House Legal Counsel role for a 4-6+ year PAE property lawyer to join a reputable builder and developer.
Your new company
This established builder and property developer is a successful and reputable organisation with a focus in the residential sector. As a result of continued growth, a newly created position has come up within its in-house legal team for a 4-6+ year PAE lawyer with property experience to provide support across the group.

Your new role
Working in a collegiate team alongside 2 other lawyers in addition to legal support staff, you will work autonomously and provide a broad range of legal support to the company, with a focus on property transactional matters.

Responsibilities will include:
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of residential property acquisition and sale agreements including Due Diligence Deeds and Put & Call Options;
  • supporting due diligence processes;
  • managing the conveyancing and settlement for property transactions;
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal documents relating to leasing agreements;
  • supporting the organisation with compliance and reporting requirements, including keeping up to date with legislative updates that may impact the business;
  • managing external counsel as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be admitted as a Solicitor in NSW with a minimum of 4-6 years' PAE in property law, gained from either a law firm or other in-house setting. Additional experience in commercial law and planning law will be highly regarded but is not essential. You will also have strong technical, drafting and research skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work relatively autonomously while managing a high volume workload. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are also required.

What you'll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity for a property lawyer looking to advance their career in an in-house environment. You will be exposed to a wide range of transactions and have the opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a supportive and friendly team within a successful and dynamic organisation. You will also have the opportunity to work from home two days a week.
