Team

In this industry Data is key to trading success. Our client is looking for someone to own their critical Data Platform end to end from onboarding to archival.

This small team is crucial to the success of our client’s Trading success. Owning, finding, curating, storing and optimisation data, this team is the key to identifying trends, patterns and data outliers which could be the next big Trading Strategy.

Role:

This role will have you working closely with both their Traders and System engineers to ensure accuracy, integrity and analysis. You will get to touch almost every aspect of the data platform and design, develop and deploy tools for automation, efficiency and efficacy improvements.

You will be managing the small team already working on the platform and be involved with other areas of the business to understand their needs and build tools to facilitate them.

Requirements:

Strong C++ and Python (Pandas, Jupyter, Feather, numpy, matplotlib)
Passion for Data and experience owning business critical data processing pipelines
Strong, demonstrable experience with either a time series data store or RDBMS and NoSQL.
Good Linux Experience
A strong interest in finance and trading.
A willingness to mentor younger team members
A history of good tenure in your career & an Industry relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree
Prior experience in Finance, HFT or Trading is great, but not a deal breaker.
A passion for technology, collaboration and an innovative mindset
Experience as a Team Lead or willingness and readiness to step into a Lead position.
